Workforce
Currently there is a well-described shortage of medical practitioners in Western Australia. The Postgraduate Medical Council recognises that workforce planning is fundamental to the delivery of good health care. The Postgraduate Medical Council through its Workforce Sub-committee aims to monitor the supply, demand and needs of pre-vocational doctors in Western Australia.
