Western Australia Junior Medical Officers Forum (JMO Forum)

The WA JMO Forum is an initiative of the JMO Committee to promote better communication between Junior Medical Officers and the PMCWA. It is used to inform JMOs of initiatives and strategies of the PMCWA and to gather information from the JMOs to inform the PMCWA.

Keeping in line with the WA JMO Forum’s Terms of Reference, the three goals for 2009 are:

  • Assist PMCWA and WACHS by providing JMO feedback regarding increased regional rotations by:
    • providing realistic expectations of what is required from a JMO country term:
    • ensuring that patients and JMOs will not be disadvantaged by any change to the current system: and
    • encouraging the utilisation of country terms through the current PACs in the mean time
  • Attendance at the national JMO forum and national prevocational medical education forum
  • Preparing ourselves for the Fiona Stanley Hospital, ensuring a safe and effective working environment with appropriate amenities.

For further information about the current projects are being addressed by the WA JMO Forum.
