Is there any support for Interns at Primary Allocation Centres?
The PACs have Directors of Postgraduate Medical Education and Medical Education Officers. Both have an important role in supporting and enhancing the intern education program by offering assistance and advice on the processes of teaching, assessment and evaluation. They also provide much needed support of the personal welfare of interns and resident medical officers. Each hospital that accepts interns also has a Director of Clinical Training who provides advocacy, support, supervision and counsel to interns.
