Overseas Trained Doctors
Overseas Trained Doctors are an important part of the Western Australian health system. The Department of Health in collaboration with other key stakeholder, including the Postgraduate Medical Council has developed a dedicated website to provide information for overseas trained doctors interested in working in Western Australia.
The Postgraduate Medical Council does not have any role to play in regard to facilitating the entry of medical practitioners to Australia (permanent or temporary), obtaining registration to practise medicine. Any questions on issues around immigration status, medical qualifications and registration is available by linking to Western Australian Overseas Trained Doctor website.
We welcome your feedback on this site and your comments on how it can be improved. Please use the feedback form to send your suggestions to us.
